This is my second dental implant. After the first one, I thought I would never get one again. I went to a different oral surgeon for the first one. The pain after the Novocain started to wear off was excruciating. Dr. Kimberly pulled a tooth, inserted the implant and when the Novocain wore off I had absolutely no pain. I am extremely happy!!!!!

Feel and function like natural teeth

Dental implant surgery is, of course, surgery, and is best performed by a trained surgeon. An oral and maxillofacial surgeon has the highest specialized education and training in the complexities of the bone, nerves, and other vital anatomy involved, to ensure you get the best possible results. A 2014 study suggests greater implant success rates when performed by a dental specialist (oral surgeon). A natural tooth consists of a root and a crown. If you compare natural teeth to implant-supported replacement teeth, you’ll see they have the same basic parts. Both have a crown (the visible part used to chew food).
